    Florence, AL – On September 18, North Alabama Medical Center (NAMC), part of LifePoint Health, ceremoniously broke ground on a new cancer center that will be added to its main campus in Florence, Alabama. A small group of leaders from the hospital and LifePoint gathered to celebrate the first dig marking the beginning of construction for Northwest Alabama Cancer Care, LLC. The facility is made possible by a $13.6 million investment from LifePoint Health.

    Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC), a Duke LifePoint Hospital, announced that Greg Caples has been named its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective September 30. Caples comes to HRMC from Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon, Ga., where he has served as CEO for three years. He replaces former CEO Rod Harkleroad who left earlier this year to pursue a leadership opportunity at another Duke LifePoint facility.

    Frye Regional Medical Center (FRMC), a Duke LifePoint Hospital, announced that Rod Harkleroad, RN has been named its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective June 8. Harkleroad joins FRMC from Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC), a Duke LifePoint facility in Clyde, North Carolina, where he has served as CEO since 2016. He will replace Chris Fensterle, who has been serving as interim CEO, in addition to COO, at FRMC since December 2019.

  • Scott Smith Named Market CEO of National Park Medical Center and Saline Memorial Hospital

    National Park Medical Center (NPMC) today announced that Scott Smith will join its team as chief executive officer (CEO), effective May 25. In addition to this position, Smith will also assume the expanded leadership role of market CEO, in which he will have oversight over both NPMC and Saline Memorial Hospital (SMH), another LifePoint Health facility located in Benton, Arkansas. SMH CEO Michael Stewart will continue to manage the daily operations of that facility and its affiliated assets, and report directly to Smith.
